PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- There is a tiny new member on the Philadelphia Police force and he showed off his driving skills in his police cruiser Wednesday.

Video shows 3-year-old Ryder Simms following Police Commissioner Richard Ross on a high speed chase through the administration building.

Ryder has developmental challenges and has Sensory Processing Disorder, but when at home, he wears a small police uniform and it makes him feel invincible.

Commissioner Ross invited Ryder in to show him around and also swore him in as an honorary police officer.

Ryder takes this seriously; he's often seen patrolling Swarthmore and protecting his neighborhood.
