A woman in North Carolina wanted to teach her husband a lesson that buying lottery tickets is a waste of money.

As it turns out, she lost the argument, and won a jackpot.

Glenda Blackwell's husband asked her to buy two Powerball tickets.

She went and bought ten scratch off tickets to spite him.

One of them was a million dollar winner.

They opted for the lump sum, which is just over $400,000.

They plan to buy a new home and set up college funds for their grandchildren.
