Police say a suspected DUI driver slammed into a police cruiser, injuring an officer in Atlantic City, N.J. early Thursday morning.

ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. (WPVI) -- Police say a suspected DUI driver slammed into a police cruiser, injuring an officer in Atlantic City who was directly traffic around flooding.

It happened around 12:45 a.m. on North Albany Avenue.

Police say Officer Rebecca Seabrook was directing traffic off a flooded portion of the Atlantic City Expressway.

She was taken to the hospital to get treated for head, neck, and knee injuries.

The driver has been taken into custody and was being tested for DUI.
