Phillies load up truck for Spring Training

SOUTH PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- A sure of sign that spring is around the corner is when the Phillies load up the truck to head to spring training.

The Phillies packed up Friday morning at Citizens Bank Park for the road trip to Florida.

Workers loaded equipment and other team supplies into a truck that will take off this afternoon for Clearwater.

The Phillie Phanatic was also on hand to oversee things.

It may be hard to believe with the cold temps around here, but pitchers and catchers report to spring training next Thursday.

Hopefully thoughts of spring training will warm us up over the next few frigid days.
