WEST CHESTER, Pa. (WPVI) -- A West Chester woman is gearing up to represent Team USA in the 2015 World 24-hour Running Championships.

34-year-old Maggie Guterl's first distance race was the 10-mile Broad Street Run back in 2007, now just eight years later she will be running on the world stage.

For the World 24-hour Running Championships, competitors attempt to run as many miles as possible.

Guterl's goal is to run 150 miles, and help Team USA bring home the gold.

It is a goal she says is possible thanks to the support here in the Delaware Valley.

"I wouldn't be going without all the support I've received from friends and family and runners I've never met," said Guterl.

The World Championships take place in Torino, Italy on April 11th.
